Progress so far for Party on the Rec 2010
Here we go again! Just keep you informed of where we are with the planning of Party on the Rec 2010.
The date will be 3rd of July and it is getting bigger. We will now be using the back field for parking and various events and rides.
I think you will be aware that we just about brought Awsworth to a stand still with parking last time, by using the back field it will address the problem. Also with success you get bigger problems and the biggest last time out was the toilets. We have got it sorted for next time, but it is going to cost us more, last years toilet bill was just short of £1000 and it looks like it will be approx £1500 for next year.
Last but not least we had lots of people breaking through the hedges around the site so next year the site has got to be fenced around the perimeter to stop this,
Unfortunately none of these changes come cheap, so with deep regret we are going to have to increase the admission charge for next year to £2 per adult and £1 per child and £1 for all other concessions, but I hope you all agree it is not a lot for a day to remember.
Party on the Rec is not funded in anyway only by the funds we raise over the year to put the event on and all the committee are volunteers and don’t get a penny, thanks to them all.
Just a reminder Awsworth has its own lotto now, and this year already we have paid out over £2000 in winnings so why not have a go it is only 50p, you could be our next big winner
What is coming up, our Christmas Cracker at the village hall on Saturday 19th December featuring live entertainment featuring Jacqui this years Gala entertainment best female singer 2009 singing all the best soul and motown hits just to name a few , disco and all the usual fun and games.
Get your tickets fast as the interest is massive for this one and you know it will be good because we’ve done it, hope to see you there

Grand casino night on June 12th 2010 so book your helicopter or limo
We also are hoping to have a scarecrow weekend and a soap box derby at the Gardeners inn but the dates are to be confirmed all in all its looking good in Awsworth in 2010
